Part of the fun of designing jewelry is making many women happy especially on Valentine’s Day, as cliché as it is, you can never go wrong with jewelry. Today I delivered a couple of designs to a gentleman for his Valentine, and over the weekend at my event the men were definitely buying, and we also made one lucky girl very happy today.

Guess what friends? essentjewels will be having another trunk show at the L.A Arboretum and you have no idea how excited we are. We can’t wait to get started on some new designs. I took a picture of these pieces a while ago and I couldn’t resist but to share them with you. My sister and I love anything feminine and these beautiful jewels do the trick. For us, it’s an escape and therapy to design jewelry, it’s our passion. Besides who can complain playing with pearls, druzys, Italian coral, shark teeth and semi precious stones!!

Hello Jewels!!
We had a very over the top successful weekend! We had the opportunity this weekend to feature our jewelery at the Descanso Gardens Annual Winter Botanical Bling. A handful of pre-selected artists displayed their jewlery to the Descanso Garden VIP members on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Boddy House, a 22 room estate at the Gardens previously owned by the late Los Angeles newspaper magnate Manchester Boddy. Wow! This event also featured a well known LA fashion stylist who happened to give his advice on the do’s and don’t’s of wearing and layering handcrafted jewlery to fit your character and to give you some pop. It was super fun and exciting to be surrounded by like minded people, exquisite food and champagne. My honey and I celebrated essentjewels success at Katsuya. Take a Peek!

We are happy to announce that this year we will be participating at this years Descanso Gardens Holiday Botanical Bling. The Descanso Gardens are known for its all year round lush natural beauty and stunning seasonal displays.
We like to imagine it heaven on earth.
Events such as The Patch’s Little Pumpkins Costume Challenge gave the opportunity for one lucky child to meet the beautiful Heidi Klum.
We think it will be a perfect venue for our rustic display.

I hope you are all having a terrific Thursday,
In order for me to become inspired it is essential that I have a work space which provides inspiration, unfortunately my space is extremely small, however it works for me now take a peek.
My desk with only the essentials.
Because my space is very limited I only have a few items on my desk, one is an eclectic artsy piece made of different components of a wooded a dachshund which reminds me of my dog Mocha.
Another is a portrait of the happiest day of my life: Our wedding which took place in Santa Barbara California. I was surrounded by family, closest childhood friends, and current friends, this particular photo of me looks as if I am dreaming and I could have not asked for a better day.
My work station it is not much, but it gives me enough space to make jewelry.
My goal. Not only is Meryl Streep one of my favorite actresses, I especially liked her in “The Devil Wears Prada” because of her exquisite sense of style. Only I rather be known as “The Angle Wears Prada.”
I would like to thank my sister for inspiring me to do this post ( Hi sister ). As mentioned in yesterday’s post, here are my fall must have. In most cases when we think of fall we think of jewel toned hues, but this time around no need to put your brights away. Brights were all over the Paris run way so don’t be afraid to add a punch of color whether in gloves, hats or lips.
