Spring Trend for 2013: Bermuda Shorts

Spring is here, although it feels more like winter in Michigan. On a fashion note Bermuda shorts were big on the runway for spring 2013, will you be rocking the look?

I must admit they can be intimidating, but they are family friendly and perfect for the girl who is not into the cheek-baring cutoffs. Plus they are a nice alternative to a skirt. I am a fan of them and J.Crew has them in the best colors at great prices with some added stretch for comfort and flattering to the figure.

Or go for the black and white tuxedo look, like the last photo, you will get three trends in one, as we know by now that black and white is big this spring as are tuxedos, how can you go wrong with a black and white tuxedo?

My intention for my outfit posts on the blog is to keep track of what I have in my wardrobe so that I could get the best use out of it and only invest in essentials that I can wear from season to season which is why you see me styling my garments in different ways, like my favorite leggings which I also wore here.

Oxblood and Dots

Happy Hump Day Everyone,

The snow already melted from last week’s blizzard from the 40 degree weather we had over the weekend. I wish the snow would stick around it looks prettier than this gray weather we have had lately. I am sure you have seen this sequins polka-dotted top a lot from other bloggers, only I have seen it in the black with the white polka-dots. I settled for the vintage champagne I figured it would transition well for spring and summer. Who says sequins is only for winter?

Yes, this black and white snake print clutch again! For one, black and white is big this spring, two black and white has always been classic, and three this clutch seems to go well with many of my looks, (and to think I thought about returning it).

Have a Spectacular Weekend

I woke up to a blizzard this morning, and while I was planning on going shopping for the hubby for Valentine’s Day I may have to shop on-line while there is still time.

Here are a couple of things I found for him, and for myself while browsing the web.

Still in: Stripes

Hello Lovelies,

Stripes are not going anywhere this season and this winter I am wearing them with my brightest garments to get me out of the rut from this gloomy gray winter, although the last couple of days have felt more like spring in the upper 50s-60s not bad for winter in the MI.

I am loving these nude neutral J.Crew ribbed tights they look pretty close to my skin color and what is even better is that they keep me warm.

Winter Essentials

Hello Jewels,

It is that time of the year to add a couple of winter essentials or put them back to use, in my case it is both, I added a couple and already had some in my wardrobe.

Country Chic

Hello Jewels,

Yes, I go country more of a preppy country, blame it on our roots. We grew up surrounded by ranches, in fact my husband and I married about five minutes away from Neverland Ranch, and Ronald Reagan’s ranch (Rancho del Cielo) which is why it was essential growing up in our area to own a pair of authentic cowboy boots.

I have had these gems for several years and they get better with time. I wear them through out the fall, with leggings, skinnies, skirts, and dresses.

I better watch it before Mocha my dog steals my thunder she is much more of a natural at modeling her little outfits.

Navy Blue With A Cherry On Top
