Ready for Spring

15 Feb

Who is as ready for spring as I am? While I know emerald is the color for 2013 and black and white will be big this spring, it is always the pretty pastels that get me in spring mode and set the mood for the rest of the year.

While I patiently wait for spring these are a couple of things that got me through the week.

Reading my bff’s new blog: biteintonutrition hope you join her in on her journey while she dishes in about healthy life style choices, and recipes full of flavor with the essentials of all things nutrition.

My small group from church where we discussed challenges we meet on a day-to-day basis. I shared that I am addicted to shopping, and my challenge was to not shop and instead strive to be more generous (so far so good).

The Bachelor yes, this is one of my guilty pleasures, it has been said by producers that this show is one of the most realistic out of any of the reality shows. I was very happy to see Tierra go, she is as immature as they come, and talk about drama queen!

A Valentine lunch with my hubby at Cafe Muse in Royal Oak, MI known for countless awards, and been featured in both Esquire Magazine, and on Oprah Winfrey, it definitely lived up to its recognition(s).

And browsing the web for new spring recipes. I love any salad that calls for mint, I will definitely have to try this one.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend,

I agree! It’s the color that makes me happy for spring (that and bare legs!)

I love hearing about good places to eat. Perhaps I will check that place out next time I am in the area. And, YES, I was happy to see Tierra go as well. Have a blessed weekend.

PS One of my brother goes to that church, the one in Troy!! I actually was going to go with him last fall. I have been reading, The Meaning of Marriage and watching the Podcasts with my boyfriend. Such a small world :-).

Yes, it is a small world. Kensington is great.. I need to read that book Meaning of Marriage, I am sure it would be very informative.

Yes, it’s been great so far. 🙂 I like that it’s a good read for the unmarried as well.

As I read this, I have a big proud smile on my face. I’m so proud of you for sharing your heart and being so transparent about some challenges of life. I love your nail polish in your recent pic, that is totally my color. Another book that a close friend just suggested to me is “What it’s like to be married to me, and other dangerous questions” by Linda Dillow. We are actually both going to read it and discuss once a week, during our workouts.

Lol, although I would love to say this is a photo of me, I borrowed it from pinterest. I do have a similar polish though.

Thanks friend, something tells me that God is telling me something about reading a book about marriage because of all the suggestions. It is on my list.

Try this recipe for a summer salad with mint. It’s a tomato and watermelon salad. Totally refreshing and filling.
